Colonel Stilwell,35FW/CC, held Air Force Ball for celebrating USAF 61st anniversary on 19 Sept. at Misawa AB..　Mr.&Mrs.Yamamoto, JAAGA secretary of Misawa branch, attended as representative of JAAGA.　Three generals of JASDF (NADF/CC, 3W/CC and NAC&W/CC), senior enlisted advisers of JASDF's units in Misawa and Mr.Taneichi (mayor of Misawa city, Aomori) and others were invited as distinguished guests.　The ball was carried out as usual year, guests entrance, national flags entrance, singing national anthems, praying, introducing distinguished guests, ceremony for POW/MIA and dinner party.　Base commander Col.Stilwell and the youngest airman in Misawa AB. cut cake for 61st anniversary of USAF.　Then dinner party was started.　Drum beating was performed by citizen of Oirase town near Misawa AB. during party.　As guest speaker, CMSgt.Deatherage, Command Chief Master Sergeant of USFJ and 5th Air Force, said "Misawa AB is model air base of USAF, because Misawa AB keeps good relation with JASDF units and Misawa city.　So US service men and their families feels thanks you all".　Party was ended with singing Air Force Song.　Then dancing time was started.　We could spend very happy time.
