JAAGA members participated in 374th Airlift Wing Open House hosted by Colonel John F.Newell, commander of 374th Airlift Wing and Yokota Air Base at commander's residence on 7 Dec.(Sun).　Col.& Mrs.Itonaga, just arrived post commander of JASDF Fuchu base commander, took part in this party.　Secretariat & Mrs.Bandboh, member Ishikawa and Yamaoka joined from JAAGA.　And high officials of metropolitan of Tokyo, Fussa city, Akishima city and Mizuho town were invited.　I remember that commander residence was crowded because of joining up with members of Yokota AB Friendship Club at same session last year.　This year we could enjoy conversation in calm and spacious atmosphere.　Delicious and warm meal were served.　Many kinds of chocolate confectionery as Mrs.Newell's request were prepared and they fascinated persons who love sweets.　Lt.Gen.& Mrs. Rice joined to the party in middle of party.　At the closing speech, Col.Newell said "I would like to make effort to make up good mutual understanding and cooperation with today's guests and government offices including Self Defense Forces, police, fire authorities (outline)".　We could touch warm hospitality shared by public affair and protocol persons of Yokota AB as usual.　(reported by secretariat Bandoh)

　　In this party, I could talk with Lt.Gen.Rice one on one.　I introduced myself as follows.　"I'm old pilot, had flown fighter aircraft, F-86F, F-104 and F-15 beyond generation".　Col.Roger (director, regal affairs) who heard our talking suggested me to take a picture with Gen.Rice.　Gen.Rice looks taciturn, but I can say he is comrade in sky.
