US-Japan Friendship Festival in Yokota AB was held on 20(Sat.),21(Sun.) August. Autumn rain front got down to South and cool air covered Kanto Plain, so the festival was carried out under very good weather condition.　From 1:00p.m. on 21 Aug., the reception sponsored by Colonel and Mrs. Pole E.Feather, commander of 374 Airlift Wing, was held at the 459 Airlift Squadron hanger.　This reception had been held at the officers club or NCO club in the past.　It is said that recently the exchange between Yokota base and the friendly neighbor organizations have become active and many peoples have participated in the festival, so they change the reception place from the clubs to the hanger　Hanger was so decollated, and good exchange place.　From JASDF, Colonel & Mrs. Akio Hiyoshi, just arrived to the base commander of Fuchu, Col.Hanzawa, Col.Matsunaga, Col.Kitamura (3 Colonels worked with Col.Feather in the State of Kuwait during they were assigned to JASDF Iraq Airlift Unit).　On behalf of JAAGA, 3 JAAGA officers (secretariat Bandoh, Momoki and Takahashi) participated in the festival, and some JAAGA members joined. In the middle of reception, Col.Feather introduced the invited distinguished guests, and had greetings that he will made effort for the construction of Japan-U.S. relationship and mutual trust.
