Ninth JAAGA president
General Kenichiro Hokazono, JASDF retired
13 May 2014
I am Kenichiro Hokazono, the newly appointed ninth President of JAAGA,
approved by members of JAAGA as the successor of General (ret) Yoshida.
JAAGA was established in 1996 as an association attached to “Tsubasa
Kai”, organization of the JASDF(Japan Air Self Defense Force) retirees,
and has been conducting the activities to promote mutual understanding
and friendship between the JASDF and the United States Air Force (USAF).
Thanks to the effort of the former presidents and members, the activities
of JAAGA became more and more widespread and active. Current security environment
surrounding Japan requires stronger Japan-US alliance.
I will make my best efforts to deepen the bonds between the JASDF and
the USAF and contribute to strengthen the Japan-US alliance through the
activities of JAAGA.
I would like to ask all the members of JAAGA for further encouragement
and active participation in various activities of the association.
