On 27 June, 515th Air Mobility Operations Group (AMOG) was organized at Yokota Air Base in conjunction with reorganization of USAF Air Mobility Command. Col.Mark A. Baker who had commanded 730th Air Mobility Squadron (AMS) takes command authority of this new group. Lt.Col.Darren Planks was assigned as successor.
  Col.Andrew M.Redmond, 715th AMOG/CC at Hickam AFB in Hawaii, carried out change-command ceremony of 730th Air Mobility Squadron at Yokota NCO Club from 09:00AM.. After this ceremony, 515th AMCG organization ceremony was held there by Col.Richard A.McClain, then Col.Baker received Command Flag in front of his subordinates airmen, some were transferred from Osan and Kadena Air Base.
  515th AMOG is in charge of west Pacific mainly, they installed the headquarters at Yokota AB and commands 3 AMSs, (730th at Yokota, 731st at Osan (Korea) and 733rd at Kadena), and supports many kinds of cargo planes like C-17, C-5, C-130, KC-10, KC-135 and aircraft of Civil Reserve Air Fleet with maintenance and logistics
  At reception which was opened after ceremony, Col.Baker friendly said us "I would like to deepen of good relation with JAAGA".  Vice president Ochi, secretariat Enoki and regular member Ishikawa from JAAGA participated to this event. (Reported by secretariat Enoki)
