The JAAGA has developed and reached maturity under the leadership of President
Ohmura, President Suzuki and President Ishizuka. I am honored to be the
fourth president. During my term as Chief of Staff, JASDF, I witnessed
the birth of the JAAGA and since I retired I have been working as a JAAGA
Secretariat Member and Chairman. My feelings of love and loyalty for the
JAAGA have grown stronger during these past few years. With the support
of the newly elected officers, I vow to make every effort toward further
development of JAAGA. I would like to ask all members for their continuing
assistance and cooperation. Needless to say, the Japan-US alliance is essential
for the stability of Eastern Asia, and mutual confidence between the USAF
and JASDF is most important to ensure that this relationship functions
effectively. JAAGA is an organization mainly composed of JASDF retirees
with the objective of contributing to the development of an environment
in which active members of the USAF and JASDF are comfortable carrying
out their duties by enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between
the two Air Forces.
